About: California Poppy found primarily on the United Sates west coast: Nevada, Oregon & California. The state flower of California is a small green leafy flower plant that grows about 2-4 inches with flowers that open wide in the sun. Though closes related to the Opium Poppy of South Central America, its constituents are weaker and act more of a sedative. Commonly used in conjunction with Valerian, Kava kava, Hawthorne, St Johns wort & Lavender.
Therapeutic uses: Release tension, sedative, calming, anti-spasmodic, diuretic
Warning: Not to be used during pregnancy. May potentiate MAO-inhibitors prescriptions.
